Harmonious Beginnings
Amara arrived
at the rehearsal venue and immediately noticed Mrs. Asepe in the company of a
young, handsome man who couldn't stop smiling at her. She was captivated by his
smile but had to look away to avoid revealing her feelings. She knew Mrs. Asepe
would introduce the new face to her if necessary. Mrs. Asepe, who was already
waiting for her, warmly welcomed Amara, reflecting her inviting and friendly
nature. This warm welcome was one of the attributes that made Mrs. Asepe an
outstanding voice training instructor.
Prior to the
rehearsal, Mrs. Asepe had instructed Amara to wear whatever she felt
comfortable in, ensuring it wouldn't be a problem during the audition. Amara,
being of average height, chose to wear minimal heels to complete her look.
Fola, who was driving her to the rehearsal center, playfully teased Amara about
wearing heels for a rehearsal. Amara happily explained that her voice training
instructor had advised her to do so. She also excitedly shared with Fola that
Theo had called her for a collaboration. Fola admitted she hadn't mentioned her
connection with Theo because she wanted to surprise Amara, knowing how much she
had wished to meet him.
Despite
Amara's unique lyrical abilities, she understood the importance of enrolling
under the tutelage of a voice training expert to bring out her best for the
upcoming audition. Through Pete, one of the co-founders of Havilah Praise Team,
she was introduced to Mrs. Asepe, a renowned voice trainer. Amara had
researched Mrs. Asepe's profile on social media and was convinced she was the
perfect mentor for her. Ever since she started her training with Mrs. Asepe,
Amara discovered new techniques and insights that would be invaluable for her
audition.
After the
pleasant and warm welcome from Mrs. Asepe, she introduced Sammy to Amara. Mrs.
Asepe explained that Sammy was an expert in maintaining good posture during
auditions and would assist Amara in that aspect. The rehearsal began, with
Amara hitting the right pitch of the song she would be performing for the
audition. Mrs. Asepe couldn't hide her joy, knowing that Amara had done justice
to the song. With God's backing, she knew Amara was destined for success. Although
it seemed challenging at first, Amara embraced the opportunity, knowing that
Mrs. Asepe only wanted the best for her to deliver an outstanding performance.
Sammy
diligently guided Amara on maintaining proper posture while singing. Despite
Sammy's captivating appearance, Amara remained focused and avoided any
distractions. She knew that this aspect of her performance required effort and
practice. Amara understood the importance of incorporating every detail
instructed by Sammy to stand out. As the rehearsal concluded, she checked her
phone, which she had put on flight mode to avoid distractions. A message from
Theo caught her attention. He expressed his wishes for her outstanding
performance in the audition. Amara wondered how Theo had learned about her
audition, suspecting that Fola might have informed him. With a brief reply, she
thanked Theo for his support.
After rushing
home from the rehearsal, Amara made a quick stop to buy fruits, recognizing
their importance in maintaining a healthy voice. Once home, she took a
refreshing shower and prepared a fruit salad for dinner. Feeling tired, she
said a prayer and drifted off to sleep.
Days passed,
and the day of the audition finally arrived. Amara woke up early, entrusting
the day into God's hands. She carefully chose her outfit, wearing the dress she
had purchased specifically for the occasion. As she was about to put on her
high stiletto heels, her phone rang. It was Fola, ready to pick her up for the
audition. Fola had been a constant source of support, and the members of
Havilah Praise Team had been equally encouraging, organizing prayers and
checking on her regularly. Their belief in her talent fueled her own
confidence.
Minutes later, Fola arrived, offering words of encouragement to uplift Amara's spirits. They got into the car and navigated through the traffic, with Fola skillfully finding alternate routes to save time. They arrived at the venue three hours early, and to their surprise, Pete called Fola. He informed her that he and the other members of Havilah Praise Team were already at the audition venue, awaiting Amara's arrival. It was a pleasant surprise for Amara, realizing the extent of the support she had from her friends.
