PARADOX OF A BROOM

 

In the African society broom is very crucial in cleaning processes. Cleaning in the sense of floor and the earth. The broom is a semi thread-like structure which is the lamella of palm fronds. It is extracted from palm fronds and tied together with a very strong rope or twine. A broom tick cannot be used for sweeping and can be easily broken, but a broom cannot be easily broken and functions well enough when used for general cleaning purposes.

Christians are likened to the broom who cannot be defeated by the fear in coherence where the Holy Spirit is the twine. The only antithesis is that, even, a single child of God cannot be easily defeated by the antagonist.

As children of God, we should allow unity to reign amongst us. God in Himself is a triune and cannot be defeated by "anyone". If we are God-like, then we'll be fastened together by the Holy Spirit - the third person of the Godhead.

When a broom becomes extremely dehydrated and dry, it could be broken if a powerful force is applied, but if fresh no force can break it.

If our heart is always in tune with God, we would be fresh always and the enemy would be put to shame when he tires to break us because we are resilient.
